The department maintains active undergraduate and graduate programs. We have approximately 165 undergraduate majors and 140 graduate students. Our majors have moved successfully into a wide range of professions and the holders of its postgraduate degrees have distinguished themselves by their own contributions to scholarship and service.

The Anthropology Department is housed within the academic wing of the Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology, providing students with access to the substantial archaeological and ethnographic collections of the University Museum as well as its Library, which houses over 120,000 books, 900 active journals and includes the Daniel G. Brinton Library.
